Dear Sholom,
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your continued support at our fed cattle sale. The Iowa farmer/feeder has a unique, quality product that we are honored to offer you each Wednesday. We are proud that we can give them a good cash market for this product and that can be attributed to great friends like you who give us loyal support. The future looks bright and we want to acknowledge your contribution to this favorable outlook. I hope that we will have many more years of working together.

Waverly Sales Company

To Whom It May Concern:
We at the Waverly Sales Co. would like to say that we think it is very important to the cattle feeders that Agriprocessors in Postville, IA be able to continue slaughtering cattle for meat consumption. Agriprocessors has been a very strong market for cattle feeders in this area. There is no other cattle slaughtering plant in the area and with high gas prices and high trucking fees it is really important that they are here.
They also have helped 4-H and FFA students with their cattle in the past by slaughtering them and giving them a report on how they cut out. This is important for the students to know the different grades of cattle, so they can determine how best to feed them to get the best grade…

Dear Shalom,
...As I ponder my note to you, I couldn’t help but think about the road of diversity that you and I have traveled hand in hand together. Our first meeting was an environmental issue and city annexation that put us together as strange bedfellows, one a redneck outspoken Norwegian, whose trust ran only through farmers who had farmed for at least twenty years with three attorney’s signatures…and then there was you – a Brooklyn Jewish wannabee, who found himself in Postville, Iowa and didn’t know how to start a lawn mower...
...We have found common ground in politics, in friendships, in family, in community and yes- in business. Most of all, we have found commonality in God.
Shalom, we have done over two million dollars by my count, with a handshake. After spending the first six months trying to get an attorney to work it out for us, we finally just plain said – “Let’s just do it!” And we have! Thank you, it has been great. Here is to at least ten more years of business and a lifetime of friendship!

Manchester Livestock Auction

Now seems to be an appropriate time to let you know that we believe Agriprocessors to not only be a valuable part in providing viable markets to livestock producers in northeast Iowa, but also an extremely beneficial influence on livestock prices received over an area much broader than just northeast Iowa.
With the concentration of large packing operations, we are at a point where there are more packing plants like yours instead of the large conglomerates now influencing the market place... we look forward to a continuing relationship in providing a valuable service to area producers.
Respectfully,
Marvin Waterhouse

Kalona Sales Barn
Agrriprocessors buys the best quality of home raised cattle out of our auction every week. They are willing to pay more for quality than any of the other packers. The community of Kalona is so fortunate to have a smaller [meat] packer like Agriprocessors as a customer.... Without Agriprocessors our farmers would be forced to sell to the big packers for less money. It is absolutely vital for our community that we have Agriprocessors here and in business.
Sincerely
